Project description of the school for "Flamizza 4.0"

The existing "Pizza Robots" facility will be extended by a few train stations, so that the plant can now also produce tarte flambée in addition to the previous pizzas. Furthermore, the programming is to be expanded in such a way that two pizzas or tarte flings can be baked at the same time in order to halve the cycle time, to reduce the waiting time for the customer. Ordering the products via mobile app is another conceivable option.

New Automation Award 2018

The xplore New Automation Award 2018 is the international technology and education competition of Phoenix Contact. Corresponding to our portfolio, creative and innovative automation solutions form the focal point of the competition. Teams of pupils, trainees and students all over the world are invited to submit their project ideas.

20 years xplore - a competition with tradition

The first xplore competition started in 1998. Since then, more than 500 projects from more than 30 nations have been realized in six editions with the help of Phoenix Contact. Incentives to participate were not only great prizes or the opportunity to present their own project at the biggest industrial fair in the world, the Hannover Messe. In the course of the competition, the teams have the opportunity to make international contacts and to exchange ideas with other young people with a passion for technology.
In the course of the 20th anniversary of the competition there will be a special category in this edition: the new Infinity category. There are no limits to the potential of automation technology, and therefore Phoenix Contact, with the support of partner organizations, selects 300 schools in so-called emerging countries that receive a given technology package. With these technical components, it is possible to take initial steps in automation technology and to implement automation sys- tems and to experience our enthusiasm for automation.
